ADRIAN HAS HAD A BOY
09.11.09
CONGRATULATIONS
from the whole of the Football Club to Adrian Burton (Captain Fantastic), and his lovely wife, Vickii.
They have given birth (well mainly Vickii) to a baby boy who has been named Franklyn. Weighing in at 7lb 10oz.

The Club looks forward to the next generation of Burton to wear the Captain's Armband.
Plus Adrian prepared for the event with a stunning goal from the halfway line against Cuckfield Town.
BANGING IN THE GOALS
09.11.09
Colin Levis has starting banging in the goals for the 2nd Team with 8 to his name already.
A hat-trick against Felbridge II on Saturday helped his tally. With 2 goals from Neil Boxall as well, helping to a staggering 9-3 victory.
A great way to mark the new management team for the 2nds of Kevin Hinton and John Bromfield.

4 GAMES WITHOUT LOSS
09.11.09
The 1st Team have finally got there act together.
With 2 wins and 2 draws from the last 4 games. Much improved performances have been the key to this. Plus, the fitness is probably starting to pay off!
A DISMALL PERFORMANCE
08.10.09
Another beating, this time at the hands of Lewes Bridgeview.
2 big losses on the bounce. The confidence in the club is low, so it is time to find a performance this coming weekend.
A GOOD DRAW
16.09.09
After the dismal start for the 2nd Team, and a dismal first half last Saturday. The team showed some real character and come back from losing 0-3 away to Franklands Village.
Great goals from Mike Stewart, Colin Galloway and Andy Westwood set up the terrific come back. And the 2nd Team could have one the game if more chances were put away.
Time to capitalise this Saturday to try and get a win over Horsted Keynes.
Whilst the 1st Team need to get their first win with a trip to Heath Pilgrims.

CRICKET TRI-TOURNAMENT
03.09.09
The football club has again been invited to partake in the Cricket Tri-Tournament.
It takes place on Sunday 20th September on The Croft at 1pm.
The Football Club versus The Cricket Club versus MK Airlines.
Last year we managed to beat the cricket club with a bit of 'friendly' tactics. We wish to try and repeat this, so all of you budding cricketers be ready for this.
We will organise the team over the next couple of weeks, so let us know if you are a cricketer, and are interested in playing on this fun day..
LET THE SEASON BEGIN
03.09.09
The season is now upon us!
The 1st Team travel away to AFC Ringmer this Saturday, and the 2nd Team are away to Copthorne II.
Both should prove to be tough fixtures, so let's try and get the season up and running with a double win!
CLUB AGM - 25th APRIL
16.04.09
ALL PLAYERS TO ATTEND
THE END OF SEASON CLUB AGM HAS NOW BEEN SET FOR SATURDAY 25TH APRIL.
The proceedings will start with a 1st Team versus 2nd Team match on The Croft. Kick-off will be 12.30pm. Purely fun, and a good chance for the 2nd team to have a go at the 1sts.
This will then be followed by the AGM, which is held in The Anchor Inn after the game. Karen will supply us some food for the proceedings. Speeches as usual, plus the handing out of trophies.
We will then have a chance to get home and get showered, and then we will all meet up in East Grinstead for a couple of ales.
More details to follow.
2nd TEAM ARE SAFE
16.04.09
ANOTHER SEASON IN DIV 7
The second team has finally secured their place in Div 7 for next season.
It has been a tough season, with a change of manager half way through. Time to re-group for next season, and enjoy the last game away to Forest Row.
RELEGATION FOR THE 1st TEAM
02.04.09
A SAD DAY FOR THE CLUB
The first team have now been confirmed as relegated.
It has been 'one of those seasons'. With injuries at the beginning of the campaign, to letting in last second goals, to lucky ricochets, to players on holiday, to players working, to more injuries, to crossbars and posts, to the ceilings in our changing rooms coming down, to no showers at home, to dodgy refereeing decisions, TO JUST NO LUCK.
We will need a lot of consolidation during the closed season, and begin our next campaign to get back into the Premier. The current squad is good enough for the Premier, and we matched many teams during the season - never being totally out-classed.
Let's look forward to the last couple of games without pressure, and to the end of season AGM and jolly. Also to supporting the 2nd Team in staying out of relegation worries. There are still player trophies to be won.
DEADLOCK WITH DORMANSLAND
02.04.09
2 DRAWS IN SUCCESSION
A couple of good results against Dormansland for the 2nd Team.
Dormansland are a strong club at the moment, and both of their sides are fighting for promotion. So to get two draws against them is no mean feat.
The only goal apparently was a screamer from STEVE MEDHURST, from just inside their half.
We have had no official match report from this game.

THE COLE MACHINE IS STILL DEADLY!
28.02.09
A GOOD WIN FOR THE SECOND TEAM
This game was always going to be a good one. There was a complete set of legends appeared to watch the game. Brendan Moore, Nick Poulton and Ian Tingley let us have the pleasure of their company.
Another couple of club legends actually dominated the game on the pitch though. With kevin Hinton running the heart of the midfield, orchestrating any attack. With the deadly prowess of Jimmy Cole bagging the first goal against Maresfield with a thunderbolt strike before the half.

The second goal came late on in the game to secure the win, with another sweet strike from Jimmy, this time with his left foot.
An overall solid performance from the second team.
