THE CLUB WISHES A SPEEDY RECOVERY TO DEANO
10.02.11
The defeat at Sporting Crawley was a double bitter pill to swallow.

Dean Vatcher unfortunately broke his leg during this game, and had to be carted off to hospital by ambulance.

He is now bolted together and back at home, and on the long road to recovery.

Keep smiling Deano.

A GAME AT LAST
A WIN AT LAST
04.01.11
A hard fought victory to kick off the New Year. The game was very tight, and either side could have pinched the win in the battle on The Croft.

After a 0-0 first half, St Francis Rangers opened the scoring with a deflected strike that left Stuart Aithcison helpless. The equaliser soon came though with Elliot Owens pouncing on a crossbar rebound.

With the introduction of Richard Curnow and his pace into the game, we started getting the upper hand, and Richard managed to bag the winner 10 minutes before full time. A hard earned win!

INTO THE QUARTER FINALS
18.10.10
A hard fought victory in the Mowatt Cup against Cuckfield Rangers, has put us into the quarter finals.

1-0 down at half time due to an unfortunate own goal by Ricky Leslie. But the fight was stepped up in the 2nd half with a goal taken by Luke Ringrose, after some hard work by Man of the Match, Dean Vatcher.

Then with 5 minutes to go, Elliot Owens rose above evreyone to head home a sweetly taken corner, thus giving us the victory, and taking us through to the next round.

A GOOD WIN
13.10.10
A terriffic performance from the 1st Team this week. Knocking 4 goals past St. Francis Rangers III on their pitch.

3-0 up at half-time pretty much killed off the game. They had a couple of chances, but the magic clean sheet was kept.

The game was finished in the second half with Elliot Owens grabbing his second goal in the game.

Great performance.

WESTY GRABS A GOAL
30.09.10
It was the first home game for the 1st Team. The performance was quite up to the display at Ardingly. And we should have won the game in the first half with various good chances squandered.

Andy Westwood

We managed to take the lead with a well taken goal from Andy Westwood, but those wasted first half chances proved our undoing.

Sporting Crawley equalised with about 10 mins to go with a stunning strike from outside the box that gave Stuart Aithison no chance in goal.

Off to that pitch at Lewes Bridgeview this week. Normally feels like we are playing on the Tundra!

A LEGEND IN CONCERT
30.09.10
Paul Gilks (Gilksy) is playing a concert at Chequer Mead in East Grinstead on Saturday Eveneing 9th October.

This should be a great night out with his band, Absolute Bowie, a David Bowie tribute Band. They are good!

Absolute Bowie

Gilksy is also having a party at his house for VIP guests which include all players from the football club. So book your ticket now.

SECOND TEAM WIN
13.09.10
The second team managed to record their first win of the season against Felbridge II.

It was a hard fought battle with us just coming out on top with a 3-2 win.

Duncan Kingston and Colin Levis scored, plus Felbridge offered us a very welcome own goal.

Ricky Leslie

According to Duncan, it was top corner from 45 yards!

RICKY'S FIRST GOAL
08.09.10
Ricky Leslie managed to get his first goal for the club last Saturday away to AFC Grinstead.

We did however lose the game. That normal problem for the club where players are still unavailable due to their Summer schedules.

14 players in the club were unavailable on Saturday, and the performance showed with a 1-3 loss to AFC Grinstead.

According to Ricky, it was top corner from 45 yards!
