The Vets

There was due to be another veterans game the Sunday just gone. But Three Bridges Vets failed to get a team together. Very disappointing and frustrating, as we had a squad of over 16 players, and were all changed and ready for the game. Paul Gilks rung them 10 minutes before the game to see if they were lost trying to find the huge stadium that is The Croft.
Apparently, they had sent an email Friday night to Helen to inform us. For a start, who checks emails on a Friday night? She has a bottle of win to look after. Secondly, the email came through on 12.04pm on Sunday.
What a waste of time, a supposedly big club is Three Bridges. Whats wrong with a phone call if they are struggling to get a side together. They have asked if we can re-arrange – NO CHANCE. We’ll have the points Thank You.

La Farola Club jolly

Thanks to Ben & Joe. The evening at La Farola proved to be a very successful and drunken evening.
A great turn out from the club, Thanks to you all. They will get more social events organised for the coming season, and we expect the same sort of response.
A few stories are filtering back from the evening. The main news being our Club Legend - Mr. Gilks.
Jay had to help him walk home from Billy Rocks, and help him get to bed. He is a legend.

Goal Posts

Yes, the rumour is true. We have finally ordered our new goalposts and nets. Not sure how long they will take to arrive. John Nash or Adrian Burton will keep you informed.
A very large Thanks goes out to MK Airlines for once again sponsoring our club. And helping us to purchase these much needed assets for our ground.Hopefully now, I won’t have to sweet talk the ref every Saturday into making sure the game goes ahead. Without them pointing out the dangers of our ancient monuments.
We should also be getting a new line marking machine. Not sure how old our existing one is, but I will check on ebay if it is collectable.A big Thanks goes to Nancy Holmes and The Parish Council for supplying this to us. So make sure you all look after it.
